Practice with a metronome to develop control of your bow stroke

  1. Play from the lower half to the upper half of the bow
  2. This amount/area of the bow is what I often refer to the middle bow area or medium amount of bow

Activity Directions

1.. Set the metronome speed to 90

2.. You will bow from the lower half to the upper half every 2 clicks

—-click 1: start moving the bow at the lower half

—-click 2: you should be at the center of the bow

—-click 3(aka 1):  you be at the upper half and immediately start going back

—-click 4 (aka 2): you should be at the center of the bow

—-click 5 (aka 1): you be back where you start from the beginning
